The Antigua carnival is a yearly July/August celebration of the island’s emancipation from slavery, and is a party that dates back to 1 August 1834. This soca tune (a sub genre/offshoot of calypso) is a predictably celebratory and dancing-friendly track and comes courtesy of Menace, 2017’s cultural ambassador for Antigua & Barbuda no less.
