The image above is a poster which is running throughout Japan as part of a #ResaleNO, anti-ticket touting campaign, which has recently been launched by a Japanese music industry collective.
As reported by CMU, large artists, major festivals, and general trade bodies are collaborating to stamp out the practice. As of Music Producers Japan president Kadoike Mitsunori has written: “High-priced reselling of tickets is a problem that can destroy the positive relationship that exists between artists and music fans.”
This decision comes following years of worldwide audience anger at the aggressive and unfair second hand market tactics, which seems to exist almost solely within the music industry.
