Despite their name, Ninos Du Brasil actually hail from Italy, where Nico Vascellari and Nicolo Fortuni first devised the project as a support act for their hardcore punk band With Love. The incendiary duo combined the intense tempos and noise of their formative musical experiences with raw Brazilian batacuda and samba influences, stirring it all into a sizzling pan of electronics. Several years later, the effect has lost none of its potency.
The latest Ninos Du Brasil album, Vida Eterna, came out on Dominick Fernow’s Hospital Productions towards the end of last year, and is their most blistering release to date. Exhibiting their usual rhythmic dexterity with the sort of club-friendly production skills you might expect from fellow Italian adventurers Clap! Clap! and Nan Kolè, Ninos Du Brasil have never sounded better. Check out the pulsating ‘Condenado Por Un Idioma Desconhecido’ below, and pick up the full album on Bandcamp.
